Amphora Tempranillo 2022

The Tempranillo grapes are dry grown in the vineyard and handpicked once ripened. The crush is cold soaked, wild, whole berry and whole bunch fermented in Amphora clay pots. The juice is then gently extracted using a basket press into used large format French oak for maturation. Maturation occurs for 12 months. Can be cellared for up to 10 years.

TASTING NOTES:

Colour: Deep garnet red

Aromas: Lifted and complex with violets underpinned by star anise, black liquorice and musk. Balanced with hints of cloves and ripe plum.

Palate: Great palate weight. fresh, generous and vibrant with brooding fruits. Black berries, violets, plum, liquorice. Structural tannins with hints of earthiness, giving chalkiness in texture and flavour.
